At the J.S.D. level, nothing is more important than the art of writing and the art of getting it published. So this session will focus on just that: picking topics; making the time to write; setting writing schedules; finding buddies to keep you on track; coping with writer’s block; finding colleagues to critique your work; and putting articles into final shape.

But that part, of course, is just half the battle. Where should you have the article published? When should you send it out? Should you ‘expedite’ the article? Should you post it on SSRN? How should you ‘pitch’ the article in your cover letter?

We will discuss all these topics and more in this informal session on writing and publishing. We will discuss useful ‘how-to’ books and other resources for legal writers.
