Censorship

This First Amendment mini-course will explore the law and theory of censorship. We will focus on the censorship of sexual speech. Our readings will be drawn from obscenity law, child pornography law and First Amendment theory more generally. We will also consider materials from other disciplines, primarily the arts and humanities, to explore the questions presented.
