Doctoral Workshops

Each Agora participant will have the opportunity to present a portion of his or her dissertation to other students in a dissertation workshop. The purpose of these workshops is to enable attendees to discuss their research with peers hailing from various institutions and possessing a diversity of legal interests and methodologies. This, in turn, will encourage feedback and constructive criticism from a variety of perspectives.

In anticipation of this portion of the Agora, each student is asked to submit a paper (20 to 30 pages double-spaced) which they shall present at the workshop by May 1, 2010 to JSD@exchange.law.nyu.edu; the submission can either be an extract from his or her dissertation or it can be a paper that reflects the student’s work towards the dissertation

The workshop groups will be organized around the research interests of attendees. Students shall be provided with the papers and presentation schedule for their respective workshops in advance of the Agora. Sessions will be moderated by researchers at NYU School of Law.
